It has been said that children decide what they are going to do or be when they are around 8 years old. Maya Madsen, founder of Maya’s Cookies, grew up in a foster home and struggled with being unloved and with food insecurities.
“I went to bed hungry many nights. I vowed when I had kids, I would never let them go to bed hungry.
