 This is a Silver Rat fly for Atlantic salmon. So named because R.A. Thompson designed it and used his initials for the rat part of the fly name. NIFTy member Mel Robinson just finished tying it at the NIFTy meeting. It’s the first fly of the new fly tying club year and he did a pretty good job.   Salmon flies are considered works of art.
