These Paleo, sweet potato waffles were a real success! If you are looking for a way to use those fresh, summer berries this one is a great option! I've seen people making sweet potato waffles all around my media and I've been really wanting to make some. Just one problem, I've never owned a waffle iron here in Finland. But my boyfriend owns one in Canada and I was finally able to try making some this summer. A few weeks after getting back to Finland.. I got a waffle iron. That's how good they were, hahah. The best part about these waffles is that it's healthy. You can eat these waffles for b ..read more

Glögi is a traditional Finnish and European Christmas drink. It's origin comes from Mulled wine from the middle Europe, but in Finland the non alcoholic version is probably even more popular. I've always liked the non alcoholic version which is basically just a heated berry juice with some christmas spices. Traditionally Glögi is red, but lately the white version (made of grapes) has grown its popularity. I wanted to make something similar, but of course, Paleo! Ingredients: (serves 2-4) 1L water 5 medium size sweet apples 4tbs maple syrup 5 cinnamon sticks 1tsp cardamom Heat up the water i ..read more

My favorite product from Arctic Warriors is definitely KERKKÄ - Spruce Sprout Powder. I love the smell, I love the taste and I love that it has so many health benefits. When ever I'm feeling a bit fluish, sore throat, running nose, tired.. I use spruce sprout with just dipping a honey spoon into it and having it as that. I've been using it now for the past year, and I can truly say that it helps! I add it to my smoothies almost daily and I have to admit, sometimes I just open the jar to smell the amazing smell of forest. I grew up surrounded by forests. I remember my grandfather telling me ho ..read more

Unlike a lot of people think, Paleo is not a meat - carnivore diet. The whole idea with Paleo lifestyle is about eating a ton of good vegetables with some quality, grass-fed, wild-caught meat & fish. It's about eating real, unprocessed food. Good quality fats, seeds, nuts, berries and fruits. Herbs and spices. Why I hate the words Paleo diet? For me, Paleo is not just a diet to tell you what to eat and when to eat. For me Paleo is a lifestyle. When you eat right, you have a ton of extra energy, which automatically makes you want to move more. Before I started eating Paleo I had no idea ..read more

Especially after the Holiday season, after eating and drinking too much for a whole month you feel fired up and ready to take Janurary by storm. We go all in and try to make everything better during the first 31 days of the New Year. For the first two weeks you're exercising every day and spending hours meal prepping in the kitchen. By week three your couch and takeout food start to look a whole lot appealing. And then we fail ..read more
