Endurance Cycling Power Couple Wins Sea Otter's Fuego XL Cross Country Race

On April 19, 2024, racers competed in the long XC race at the Sea Otter Classic the Fuego XL. The men's and women's divisions were won by the power couple from Utah Keegan Swenson and Sofia Gomez Villafane. See Keegan’s victory salute below. Swenson and Villafane are elite gravel and cross-country racers based in Midway, Utah.  The pair successfully defended their wins after a double victory in 2023. There was a lot of big news to come out of the Downhill World Cup scene this offseason but one of the biggest bits ahead of the season opener in a few weeks was that Jackson Goldstone will be missing the bulk of the year with an ACL and MCL reconstruction surgery.  In his place, The Syndicate has pulled 19 year old junior phenom Oliver Davis from the Commencal Schwalbe team after he was brought onto that only nine weeks ago.
