One of the things I missed most about Prince George when I moved to the Lower Mainland was being able to easily access the outdoors. After having experienced the extraordinarily long time it took to get anywhere in the Lower Mainland and now that I’m back in the city in which I grew up, I have an even greater appreciation for how lucky I am to be able to hop in my car after work and be on a trail or a lake within 15 to 45 minutes. You could choose to make a day of any of these three hiking and paddling combos, but if you’re someone who likes to get outside during your work week, these pairings ..read more

The city’s vibrant character attracts people from all over the world, offering opportunities to learn from diverse cultures and connect with remarkable individuals. The culture and history speak a lot about the warmth that reflects ou ..read more

It was 9:00am on a beautiful Saturday spring morning in Prince George, BC and the Herman family had just piled into their car with quite the to do list. A grocery haul at Superstore, a fact-finding mission at The Home Depot, and a park play for their 1-year-old daughter Isidora (Izzy). Clinton and Carmen, who had recently moved up to PG from Vancouver, knew this day could take a lot out of them. Negotiating traffic, moving their way through hordes of people at the big box stores, all while keeping their cool in front of their toddler was going to be a big task. They took a deep breath and bega ..read more
