Here at KCFF, every day is national Canadian film day! But, for one day a year, our friends at Reel Canada organize celebrations from coast-to-coast-to-coast, highlighting and showcasing our national cinema on a grand scale. This year, the official National Canadian Film Day is April 17 and the works of heavy-hitters like Cronenberg, Polley, Villeneuve, Egoyan, and many others will be on display. After a wildly successful first edition, we are delighted to announce that we’re now accepting applications for the second edition of the 18 MM Program!  This course and workshop series aims at providing participants with basic knowledge of the cinematic art and the necessary skills for filmmaking practice. We had a fabulous time at last night’s Opening Gala! Many thanks to director Fawzia Mirza for joining us for the Q&A, and to Tulips & Maple for catering our post-show reception.
