“We didn’t realise we were making memories. We just knew we were having fun” A.A. Milne – Winnie The Pooh   Oh, to be a kid again. To be at that tender age when birthdays were days to be excited about and not pesky and frequent reminders that we’re getting older. To be young enough to see a birthday hanging on the far, far horizon crawling towards us ever so slowly…far too slowly. Or the cake. A ..read more

Calligraphy I’ve loved the use of gold calligraphy in framed quotes. This has reached into the wedding scene and now can be found in kids parties. A stylish framed calligraphy print with your child’s name, age or a special saying for them as a centre piece on the food table would look fabulous. Use a gold calligraphy font through invitations, decorations and labels. Calligraphy cake toppers are all the rage and even calligraphy balloons are the go.  Gold Calligraphy Canvas from The Warehouse $22.00                     ..read more

We made some beautiful crystal inspired sweet treats for Rosa’s ‘She’s a Gem’ birthday party. We had geode biscuits, crystal shard jelly cups, gem cookies, diamond encrusted donuts, a crystal grazing table and cupcakes.   Geode Biscuits We made these using a little hack. I found Rasberry tartlets at Countdown. We used edible gold paint to paint the edges of the biscuits and then sprinkled a mixture of rock sugar and popping candy on the sticky jam to create the crystal geodes. Rosa pretty much made these herself. She painted the biscuits and then sprinkled on the ..read more
