I talked about this on my instagram story yesterday, but I feel like the topic deserves a proper, typed out post.
There is no good reason, that your kid, should be out past 11PM, in a city where most, if not ALL the businesses in the city close, after 7, 8, or even 9 PM.
In addition, as someone who has patrolled newark at night, who has been harassed before, and even chased by STRAIGHT UP CRACKHEADS BEFORE? 4.12.24, Heart Ballroom, Newark NJ saw the team behind Coffee Cave (former venue on Halsey St) and Newark based DJ/Promoter Jihad Muhammad throw one heck of a party!
House music legend Louie Vega as the headliner, with support from Anané (she was awesome) and Jihad Muhammed.
Music was on point. Sound system was BUMPING. Nothing but smiles, hugs, good times, no dramas, lots of dancing, a diverse crowd, all united by the love of house music!
