Back in December, I caught the wade-fishing bug while standing in knee-deep water and subduing massive speckled trout in South Texas. A month later, my wife and I were hiking near our condo in Perdido, Fla., and came across a stunningly beautiful flat that was carpeted with shoal grass. We’ve been dreading the release of this movie since the first trailer came out, because our impression is that Hollywood isn’t capable, and maybe was never capable, of telling an effective story about what a second civil war in America might look like.
