I'm working with my ~2 year old Vizsla and we recently started working towards the UPT test for NAVHDA. During our last training day, our chapter trainer told me that in order to move forward on the UPT objectives I need to do a full trained retrieve/force fetch with my dog. During last season Maverick would retrieve birds, and bring them back to me (with some coaxing). With that said, his retrieve could definitely use some work.
For those of you who have force fetched your dog:

Would anybody be willing to share their academy with me? I just got a new lab named sprig but i’m a broke college student and can’t afford it. Would love to have a structured training program. Thanks I would really appreciate it.

Just for fun wanted to show a growth update of our Boykin (now 11 months old, 9 months in second photos) and our Chesapeake Bay Retriever (now 4 months old, 2 months old in second photos.) It’s been a very long time since I’ve been around a Chessie pup. Their growth is unbelievable. Boykin is still accepting we brought home a toy that has very quickly outgrown him, and he’s not done yet. :)
