The NFL draft is not a science but there are a lot of data pieces around it
The job of an NFL general manager is very difficult. While fans and media are able to take a video game approach to constructing a roster, GMs have to put their jobs on the line with many of the decisions that they make.
In less than a week, the NFL draft will kick off. While Cleveland Browns GM Andrew Berry will have an extra day to plan for his first selection, the data gathering continues throughout the process. Fans and media have more information than ever before with Relative Athle ..read more

Cleveland’s newest veteran defensive tackle gets the voided years treatment too.
As we continue to break down contracts for Cleveland Browns free agent signings, there is one more defensive lineman we have to get to: newcomer Quinton Jefferson, a veteran defensive tackle who essentially replaces Jordan Elliott.
The Browns signed Jefferson to a 1-year, $4 million deal. His cap hit in 2024 will only be $1.98 million, though.
His base salary is $1.21 million, and then he also received a signing bonus worth $2.45 million. The signing bonus is prorated over five ..read more

Cleveland GM explains the importance of roster building at key positions as he prepares for the 2024 NFL Draft.
Cleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry presented an undeniable truth on Thursday.
Speaking to the media just one week before the 2024 NFL Draft, Berry pointed out something so obvious that it seems odd that some still don’t grasp the concept.

With the NFL draft a week away, a look at the rugged AFC North
The NFL Draft is a couple of weeks away. However, that does not mean we can divulge into some early power rankings in the AFC North. All four teams in the division found ways to improve their team this offseason. Whether it’s small moves or big moves, teams looked for ways to get better.

The NFL draft is right around the corner and Browns GM Andrew Berry is busy with visits
The Cleveland Browns are getting ready to take this year’s rookie class into their fold. What is an oddity: none of these new athletes are needed to start right away. When was the last time that happened?
These rookies, along with some from last year, are on the roster for the sole purpose of depth, growth and development. Guys like DT Siaki Ika (9.42% of snaps), C Luke Wypler (4.6%), and DE Isaiah McGuire (8.85%) played sparingly last year but received ..read more

Germain Ifedi the latest free agent addition for GM Andrew Berry
Just as we write a free agency article that says “Just over a week away from the NFL draft, NFL free agency has basically ground to a halt,” the Cleveland Browns go out and prove us wrong the following day.
A day after Justin Murray retired from the team’s offensive line depth and a week after the Browns traded away Leroy Watson, GM Andrew Berry had a hole to fill. Cleveland’s top three offensive tackles (Jedrick Wills, Jack Conklin, Dawand Jones) are all coming back from season-ending injuries ..read more

Round 5 projection: The Browns tight end room is one man down
The Cleveland Browns need a good young tight end to contribute and groom. David Njoku made the Pro Bowl last year and is considered a viable threat in the offense. Jordan Akins remains a roster member despite having poor stats last season.
By bringing in Theo Johnson, the team would add a good blocker with long arms and length. He is adept at hauling in passes and is a nightmare when running free downfield. Raised in Canada and went to a program that spits out great tight ends.
