My countertop fabricator has scared me into believing my island countertop will crack if the ikea base cabinets are not completely level/plane. No matter how hard I try to level the tops of the cabinets (using laser level + 8ft level), there’s always a spot that isn’t making perfect contact with my level (within a fraction of a millimeter). Also when I apply weight to the cabinets to simulate the weight of the countertop, theres flex to the height of the cabinet. How perfect does my leveling need to be? Any tips or things to not worry about while trying to leveling this thing? The island is a ..read more

Usually for B&M retailers, I’ll place an online order for pick up and then pick it up whenever I have free time.
But I went to place an order for in-stock hardware for their Sektion cabinets and it asked for my pick up time. I DONT KNOW!
I could just go into the store and shop myself but do I have to walk through the whole ass maze?
Even if I were to pick up an online order, do I have to walk through the maze or go in through the exit?

I bought the largest size glass top for the Hemnes 8 dresser drawer. Is it supposed to look like this or be flush to the edges?

Am I crazy or there's something going on at IKEA? The most recent 4 fitted sheets I bought from IKEA don't fit the 3 IKEA mattresses I bought from them a few years ago. I made sure to double, triple check the sizes and the max depth. They should fit but they don't. WTF?

Hello,
Hoping to find some information as gotten conflicting replies. Our first Ikea designer said we needed plugs hanging down, second said they could be hardwired. Now the installers are saying they can be hardwired, however electrician is saying cables too thin for in wall install.
hoping to get some clarification and info so we can finalize it, i really don't want to use 3 of my kitchen plugs just for lights...
Cheers!

What happened to all the solar lights ikea used to carry? It's been two years at least since they've had any. (Canada)

You can’t see it well in the photos, but we noticed dark green areas emerging from the face of the mats, specifically around the areas resting on the pot/mug. It’s probably normal and I want to ask whether others experience this too? BTW Ikea bought.
