In our omni-channel business we have situations where direct accounts buy both direct and from master distributors. We also have customers of master distributors contact us requesting to go direct. How have others approached the need to link one account to many other accounts? Is there a simple filed type for this or is my only option to create a relationship table to link records together? I have a custom table that is linked to my accounts table in a *:1 relationship. Whenever I try to import records to this table and create the relationship to the accounts table, the relationship isn't created. The records import without error, in fact if I put some incorrect data in the lookup field it does error, so it is checking on import. However once imported the lookup field on the record is empty. Strangely this also happens when creating the records, if I try and create the record and fill out the lookup field, once I save the field becomes blank again and I have to re-enter it. It seems all separated in BC and not very clear where to find their respective bins/lot numbers. Where can I combine this info? so I can quickly search for a location each morning to display all available quantity of items, in what bins#, and lot# altogether on one page? Any report can do this?
