So, I have an Exchange 2019 VM with 5 databases that is up to date on it's CUs. Recently I've been reorganizing things and moving some people around but I've run into a weird issue. I've been doing the moves in the migrations page of the ECP and mailboxes are ending up in different DBs than where I'm sending them. As an example, I queued up a single job to move two mailboxes yesterday before I left work. They were to move from DB2 to DB5. When I got in this morning, one was in DB3 and the other in DB4. I did some Googling but couldn't find anything similar. Has anyone run into this issue befo ..read more

Hi, ahead of a project to install Exchange 2019 into an environment where Exchange 2016 is already installed I wanted to check my understanding / plan by the experts on here and anyone who might offer some tips or corrections! Appreciate any help :) I've completed the following in order in my lab:
Extend Schema in root domain, prepare AD and prepare the child domain
Install Exchange 2019 mailbox service
Configure External and Internal URLs on the new Exchange 2019 to match that of the current Exchange 2016
Export and Import current active certificates from Exchange 2016 to 2019 and assign th ..read more

I'm implementing EP next week, and I know our CAB will ask the question - is it OK to deploy it one site at a time, or is there a good reason to do it all in one sitting? I'm planning to do one site per day, with SSLOffloading being disabled 24 hours before we start.

I'm reviewing documentation and confused on the best way to do this. I need to create an account that can migrate a dozen or so specific mailboxes from Exchange 2013 to Exchange Online. That account should have zero access to the other ~150 mailboxes. ECP is publicly accessible (don't get me started), so access there is not an issue.
How do I accomplish this? Clearly the account needs full access to the mailboxes to be migrated, but I'm struggling on how to lock it down from the non-migrating mailboxes.

Hey All,
I'm confused as to what I did wrong here. Typically when I make a distribution group I just:
create the group in on-prem AD as universal distribution.
Open the group up and add the email address.
Add the members.
Let AD-sync happen.
This time when I did that the group in Exchange online had the primary address of ["@domain.onmicrosoft.com](mailto:"@domain.onmicrosoft.com)"
When the distribution group was emailed (using the correct ["@domain.com](mailto:"@domain.com)" address, it bounced back that the group was not found (although it did deliver to the group members)....I went back ..read more

Hello,
Our root public folder mailbox is in the default container in AD. Is there any issues with moving it to another OU within the same domain? We want it to sync to Azure AD through AD Connect so we can let it be discoverable by mailboxes in EXO but the default container is not being synced.
Thanks

Server: Exchange 2019 on prem
Error: (see picture)
Steps taken:
Changed backend web.config to change from 10240 to 36000 for maxRequestLength.
Rebooted IIS.
Checked transport everything shows there should not be an issue when trying to send a file smaller then 36MB, the file I tried sending was 29MB. I also know that I can send that file from the client on a PC but not on mobile. Any help would be appreciated.
