Who’s to blame for the disastrous construction mess downtown?
Reddit | Boise

Everyone I’ve talked to has said this is the worst they’ve ever seen it. I understand work has to get done, but this is definitely an oversight which is negatively effecting everyone. The traffic patterns chance without notice and seemingly hourly, which ends up throwing you through a maze of detours, and detours throw you into other detours. I just need to know, at the top, who is to blame, and can anything actually be done to elleviate this, and if so, who can we complain to? submitted by /u/Chavez8717 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Downtown's Finest Landlord Is At It Again

A great story from BoiseDev this morning - turns out the same remarkably derelict owner who let the Union Block renovation drag on for years (and tried to convince city engineers that his half-assed support system in the basement was toooootally safe) also owns the Idanha and has been screwing over the wheelchair-using residents by continually failing to maintain the elevators and then lying shamelessly about it to anyone who complains. What a turd. Also, is it just me or is BoiseDev somehow the best newspaper in Boise despite not actually being a newspaper? submitted by /u/Powerth1rt33n [vi ..read more

Anyone else miss Sun Ray Cafe

I’m so sad they closed. No offense to lost grove but they just are not that good from my perspective. High prices, shit food, subpar beer. Like thanks for the bare chicken sandwhich with no toppings I paid $15 for and sides cost min $7 and are not included. Like went there 2nd week they were open and will never go back due to price and quality. I value places that are not pretentious and have good food/drinks at fair/decent prices. Yes..every time I ordered the same sandwich at sun ray cafe it was like different bread/toppings and not consistent but it was always good and well priced. Especia ..read more

Hello everyone! Myself and a few friends started climbing a few months ago and were wanting to transition to some outdoor climbs while we still have this beautiful weather. Was wondering where the best spots that are close are and if we might be able to tag along and learn some of the outdoor things. We boulder, top rope, and some of us are getting into lead climbing. Thanks so much! submitted by /u/sdinnan [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
