The Bristol Hoteliers Association (BHA) is funding a two-day mental health course for hospitality workers in the city. A dozen places are available on the first course, which will run at the Bristol Hotel in June, and those places are being offered to all BHA members. A Gala Dinner Charity Ball organised by a team of emerging leaders from De Vere Tortworth Court Hotel, near Bristol, has smashed its fund-raising target for the Brain Tumour Support charity. The organisers, aged between 18 and 20, had hoped the event would raise £5,000 but they ended up collecting £7,900.
