About a million years ago (OK, 13 months ago) I blogged suggesting that I thought that soon meeting participants would be able to change their display name. This was because of a new property I had spotted in Microsoft Graph for a meeting object to signify whether this was possible in the meeting. That went in, but then the Microsoft Teams client didn’t immediately evolve to take advantage of it. I wanted to put together a guide for people starting out building their first plugin for Copilot. I didn’t want people to feel like they HAD to be seasoned developers to be able to build something. I wanted to show how straightforward it was. I also wanted to create something useful, not just another Hello World demo. I believe that this plugin genuinely has value and I’m using it daily. A few days ago, Microsoft announced a breaking change to the beta endpoints of Microsoft Bookings Graph API. By itself that’s not surprising: the beta endpoints can change multiple times during their journey to V1. However, the change this time was unusual, in that it might be a indication of a future direction of travel for Microsoft Graph. In the blog post, Microsoft announced that many (all?) of the Microsoft Booking Graph API endpoints were changing from “/beta/booking…” to “/beta/solutions/booking…”.
