EDMONTON – The Edmonton Elks have signed American defensive lineman Jeremiah Jackson-Trotter, the team announced Wednesday. Jackson-Trotter played the 2023 season at Davenport University, where he racked up 37 total tackles, nine tackles-for-loss, three sacks and three pass deflections in 10 games with the Panthers. EDMONTON, AB – Nyles Morgan has quickly become a cornerstone of the Edmonton Elks defence. The 27-year-old joined the Green and Gold after being a highly-recruited linebacker when entering the college ranks. Buskey, 25, played the 2023 season at Elizabeth City State University, suiting up in eight games for the Vikings. EDMONTON – The Edmonton Elks have signed wide receiver John Franklin III, the club announced Wednesday. Franklin played the last two seasons in the United States Football League (USFL) with the Memphis Showboats in 2023 and another with the Tampa Bay Bandits in 2022. He appeared in one game for the Showboats, recording one reception for 11 yards, while suiting up in nine games for the Bandits in 2022, where he had 14 catches for 170 yards and three touchdowns.
