This is a hard time for all of us, it is definitely not something anyone is used to. Many of us are able to work from home, but for restaurants and other local businesses, that is not an option. There are so many ways we can keep each other safe as well as support your normal breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drink spots while we practice social distancing. Even with these alternative options, please keep everyone safe by washing your hands with soap for 20 seconds, sneeze and cough into your elbow, don’t touch anything you don’t need to touch, and just be kind to everyone. I will keep this post ..read more

Keeping Love and Life in Death

Life Forest is one of Manchester’s newest businesses, one that redefines the tradition of burial, and where cremation doesn’t mean an urn on a shelf in the living room. Life Forest keeps family at the heart of everything- they follow the belief that a positive surrounding is the foundation of healing and sustaining emotional connection with those who have passed. No longer would you visit a headstone, but a beautiful tree (of your choice) planted in memorial of your loved one, where their cremated remains nurture the soil. Life Forest provides a place to commune with nature and the spirit of ..read more

I know Halloween is a hard time to plan, there are so many different things going on around our city, where do you start? In my effort to make things easier (for myself, but lucky you), I have compiled a list of the Halloween-esque things happening (and some delicious specials stores are offering) over the next couple of weeks. I’ve sent emails and scoured Facebook, and yet I think I am still missing some things, so please, feel free to share with the class and comment, or send me an email (marketing@intownmanchester) and I’ll add it to the list here! For your convenience, I’ve put them in or ..read more

#FoodieFriday: North End Bistro
Intown Manchester Blog

I know we all get stuck in the “main” part of Elm Street, but once in a while  you should venture down each way just a little bit further. There’s more to Elm than just the great shops and restaurants between Bridge and Granite Streets, and that’s where we went today. North End Bistro isn’t necessarily tucked away in a corner, it’s in perfect view of the corner on Elm and Myrtle street, and definitely worth the walk. We went for lunch and got the award winning Short Rib Poutine- sweet potato tots, topped with cheese curds, braised short ribs, beef gravy, and scallions. I absolutel ..read more

#FoodieFriday: Since When do They Sell Food?

It used to be a well known sports equipment shop, now it is a delicious restaurant and pub- Shopper’s Pub + Eatery. I’m newer to the area, so I don’t know what the store used to be like, but I’ve been told they have kept it’s charm and nostalgia. Walking in they have made it easy to reminisce, there are still team pictures on the wall, the silhouette cut outs that once donned the facade of the property are now on the inside, and the original store sign is right above the entry of the restaurant. You walk into a large open space with plenty of seating and a full bar with TVs all over, making i ..read more

#FoodieFriday: Campo Enoteca

This was actually my first time at Campo Enoteca, and it did not disappoint. When you open the door you are greeted by an atmosphere that is warm and welcoming, with friendly staff to seat you. Before I go into detail about what we had and how it was, I want to tell you a little bit about the restaurant. Everything is scratch made by their chefs in house, which means your food is fresh, and yes, that includes the bread AND pasta. They also have a farm-to-table philosophy, which means their ingredients are largely local and generally from somewhere in the New England region with very few excep ..read more

Summers at Intown Manchester are a little crazy- Now that we’re in mid-July, Summerfest has started and Intown’s Farmers Market is well underway. We have many amazing vendors at the concerts and market, but this week I wanted to put a little spotlight on a couple of our regulars, the food trucks! I’ll have you know right off the bat that I’m a food truck fanatic- I seek out all of the festivals, all the breweries with rotating food trucks, and follow the food trucks themselves on social media. It never gets old, and luckily my friends are totally fine with me pestering them about going to w ..read more

Happy 4th of July! Need some help with ideas of how to celebrate our country’s independence day? Hopefully I can help you a little bit. Instead of #FoodieFriday this week, I’m doing a #HolidayHelp blog. I’m going to tell you right now (I think I’ve confessed to it before), I’m a total pinterest-aholic. Most of my ideas come from going down the rabbit hole there. I’m the first to tell you, I’m not a huge tablescape person, I’m more the easy decor and fun food person. So that’s what you’re going to get from me here! I’m going to start with the obvious easy way to decorate for your 4th of July pa ..read more

Last night I had the pleasure of going to New Hampshire 2019 Magazine’s Best of NH party at Delta Dental Stadium. The weather was perfect, if not a little hot, the food options were spectacular, and we had a great representation of downtown Manchester! Here are our 2019 Central Business District Representatives and what deliciousness they brought to the party: Red Arrow Diner: Mini meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and gravy Fratello’s Italian Grille: Peanut Butter dessert bombs, classic bruschetta and mushroom bruschetta The Birch on Elm: Beet and cured salmon salad tossed in dill dressing with h ..read more
