Shopping a house as a 1st time home buyer without a realtor experience: Builder 1 : After sending a signed offer for 445k without a realtor and a discount, builders rep replies back that the price of the home went up 2 times and reached 460k in 2 days. And that was the reason they could not submit offer to my mortgage broker. Builder 2: Visited showhome 3 days back. Supposed to be meeting today at 5:30 pm. Anybody know if they're actually enforcing the parking bans this year? Mostly a rant but apparently moving our vehicles to the back driveway has been taken as an invitation for others to just park in front of our house despite the parking ban for street cleaning. For either street cleaning or snow removal the past few years it seems adhearing to the parking ban only screws yourself over. In the winter people leaving their cars out have cleared parking spots while all the snow piles up in front of all the folks who did move their vehicles. This morning I took the valley line to Churchill, as I do every morning for my commute, and immediately upon exiting the train was harassed and threatened by a man clearly on drugs. He started screaming at me saying that he was going to kill me if he caught me and chased after me for almost a kilometre before I finally outran him in a parking lot. I yelled to security for help, but they did absolutely nothing to protect me. I made it to Quarters and hopped on a train heading south to safety after losing him. Someone really wanted to get into our yard and instead of climbing over they decided to climb through ?. How do I reconnect it the cheapest and easiest way? We’re renting and broke so I’m not going to spend a lot on it. I did reconnect the bottom for now on the hook thing but it’s hardly holding on.
