I love it here and don't wish NC was more like anywhere I came from. My career options basically meant CA, NY, TX Atlanta or here and I would rather die than live in CA/NY.
I love how green the state is, how fresh the air is to breathe, and we have some of the best marked/signed roads of any state I've lived in/visited (10-15).
I've lived here only 3y and I already feel territorial about NC worried that all the transplants from shit states are gonna fuck it up and make it more like where I didn't want to live.
Just wanted to say ILY NC, please keep being you.

I’ve always wanted to live in NC, my mother lives there as well. I love the beach and would love to be an hour or 2 from the beach, what are the best counties/towns to live in close to the coast. Based off cost of living, healthcare, etc.

Hello! I am planning a road trip into the western bit of North Carolina and was wondering what recommendations people have for star gazing there? I am not from NC so any general tips or advice or recommendations would help a lot!

Am I the only who feels like this is the worst pollen season we've had. I've lived here my whole life aside from a stint in the military and don't remember it being this rough

Hey All! I am trying to plan a family vacation for a nice, not too touristy, coast/beach spot that can accommodate all the family members; ranging from grandparents & young couple with an infant who are looking to just relax, to early 30's who can have places to go out at nights. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
