Catchers Jonathan Peguero, who doesn’t even turn 18 until late July next year, was the club’s top catcher, playing in 31 games and hitting respectably for such a youngster. The Dominican catcher hit .266/.384/.372 with four doubles and two home runs in 112 plate appearances, walking in a stellar 14.3% of plate appearances and striking out in 17.0%. Spencer Horwitz The minor league have released their end-of-season All-Star teams and the Dunedin Blue Jays had a great showing with five All-Stars on the team for the Low-A Southeast league while Spencer Horwitz was named the High-A West’s top prospect. In the Low-A Southeast, shortstop Orelvis Martinez led the way, after a stellar .279/.369/.572 slash line with 19 home runs in 171 games for the Blue Jays.
