Well, 82 games are in the books, and hopefully, 16 more wins are on the way. What do you think of the regular season? In the final game of the season, the Edmonton Oilers took on the Colorado Avalanche without Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Mattias Ekholm, Evan Bouchard, and Evander Kane.  As you can imagine, the game went how you thought it would, with the Oilers going 4-0 early in the first period, before Dylan Holloway scored his sixth goal of the season late in the first period. In what will likely be his last game. Zach Praise scored the fifth and final goal of ..read more

A farewell to the Arizona Coyotes

by Liam Horrobin

It was an emotional farewell to Arizona last night for the Coyotes, now bound for Utah. The Desert Dogs went out with a bang, putting five on the board in a 5-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers. The Coyotes went out similarly to the Winnipeg Jets in 1996, packing their arena with fans all in white shirts. Liam O’Brien started the scoring, and the Coyotes never looked back. Lawson Crouse, Mattias Maccelli, Dylan Guenther, and Sean Durzi got the fans out of their seats for the final time, contributing to the final score. The energy for that finale was something the Oilers couldn’t match in a me ..read more

Stay healthy. That is all that matters tonight for the Edmonton Oilers and Colorado Avalanche. The Oilers are guaranteed to begin the playoffs at home, likely on Monday, and they will host either Vegas or LA. The Avalanche will begin their 2024 playoffs in Winnipeg. They still need to finish the regular season, and the biggest story line tonight, and arguably the only one, will be Nathan MacKinnon’s quest to become only the 12th player in NHL history to score 140 points in a season. It was an emotional night at the Mullett Arena last night between the Edmonton Oilers and the Arizona Coyotes. The Coyotes are Utah bound and last night ended their stay in the desert. The chances that the Winnipeg Jets and the Edmonton Oilers meet in the playoffs are miniscule, but you have to imagine the Oilers would like to get their revenge on the team that beat them in the 2021 playoffs. Back in 2021, the Oilers were swept by the Jets in what were actually close games. However, it wasted a fantastic season by Connor McDavid, where he had 105 points in just 56 games. Well, both teams will make the playoffs for the third time in the past four seasons. The Jets currently have 106 points for second in the Central Division. With a win, the Jets will clinch home ice in the fi ..read more
