Hello. It has been quite a while since my last post. What happened? To be honest, in 2018 I started getting burned out on reviewing denim. I still love denim and never stopped learning about it, but the process of writing reviews became draining. I never got into this for it to be a job, just a passion. This is my second review on Journal Projects a young denim brand out of Singapore that makes custom made jeans and jackets via Kickstarter campaigns. CUT: A high cropped fit with narrow arm holes and a slim fitting sleeve. Slim chest that drops straight down for a roomier waist. MEASUREMENTS (size 40): Shoulder 17″, Chest 21″, Back length 23″, Sleeve 24″. FABRIC: 20oz unsanforized selvedge denim woven in Japan. 98% cotton, 2% Elastane. One washed to eliminate shrinkage. Cut: Comfort Tapered. Samurai Jeans take on the relaxed tapered cut. Developed by Okayama Denim for SJ. Med high rise, relaxed thighs and an aggressive taper down the leg. Measurements (Size 33): Waist 35″, rise 11″, back rise 15″, thigh 12.6″, knee 8.5″, hem 6.9″, inseam 35.6″ Shrinks about half an inch in the waist and about .75″ in length.
