Biomes are a new feature that launched in Pokémon GO on Earth Day 2024, updating the in-game catch visuals, and bringing a new spawn mechanic to the game! In order to celebrate the release of Biomes in Pokémon GO, Niantic has launched a special in-game event called “Rediscover Kanto”. Trainers are invited to search biomes for Pokémon first discovered in Kanto during the Rediscover Kanto event! Pokémon Spotlight Hour will feature a different Pokémon and a special bonus for one hour at 6:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday during the month of April.
