That is 9 years and I’ve tried to post quality content. That takes a lot of energy and now I’m tired! Those of you who have been with me since the early days when I posted as the lupus chronicles, will notice that the posting got more infrequent as the time proceeded. Why? It’s hard! But, hopefully, I’ve increased your understanding of this horrible disease and all autoimmune diseases. They are not to be toyed with or taken lightly and can inte ..read more

What challenges do you confront on a regular basis? What are the common threads about these illn ..read more

An autoimmune disease is a condition that results when your immune system mistakenly attacks your body. Usually, your immune system guards against germs like bacteria and viruses as it can tell the difference between foreign cells and your own. In an autoimmune disease, your immune system mistakes parts of your body such as your joints and foreign, to release proteins called ‘Autoantibodies’ which attacks healthy cells. Before fearing the unknown, we’ve listed some common signs of autoimmune disease so you can act fast should it be required. Symptoms of Autoimmune Disease Despite the symptoms ..read more

Millions Have At Least One According to various studies, millions of people have at least one autoimmune disease. Autoimmune diseases affect women more than they do men, and usually, begin during the years of childbirth ; but what is the immune system? The immune system is a network of cells and tissues in the body, such as bone marrow, the thymus, and white blood cells. They all work together to protect the body from infections and invasion from bacteria and diseases-outside the body (foreign, non-self) How Does It Happen? Occasionally, our own immune system recognizes its own tissue as fore ..read more
