3062 and the broken rail at Victoria (close up)
I went down to Manchester Victoria to see if I could find and photograph this broken rail that is causing problems to the use of the second city crossing. I found it and it looks as though it is part of a crossing casting and part for the first city crossing has been replaced, temporarily, by plain rail. I understand that it is being repaired by the manufacturer and in the meantime East Didsbury to Shaw trams are only gong to Exchange Square from East Didsbury whilst East Didsbury to Rochdale trams are going via Market ..read more

SCHONBERGER STRAND
A call was made at the Museum en route to Utrecht and the ferry. I thinkost agreed that 3 hours there was too long!
Trams on view. Apparently the Museum is run by volunteers with no paid staff and restoration work takes time as it can only be done as and when monies are enough to do the job.

BREMEN AND MUSEUM
In the depot yard with the Museum in the background
One of themembers of the Museum saw the body of the horse car on someone's premises and asked if he could have/buy it. It was 2 years before the owner agreed to let it go. It has had a full restoration at the Museum which took several painstaking years and is now immaculate.

SKJOLDENAESHOLM MUSEUM
A good visit to the very friendly and halpful Museum, where we were greeted with a Smorgasbord lunch with tramway beer and Danish pastries for tea. They were running up to 15 trams, including the horse drawn one.
