On April 1, a longtime advertising and public relations shop will have a bit of a new look. Jeanie Coates, who founded Coates Kokes in 1978, is retiring after a 45-year career. As she leaves the longest-running woman-led ad agency in Portland, her business partner of 24 years Steve Kokes will become the agency's sole owner.
