Stencils are a fantastic tool. They can add detail, dimension and so much more to your scrapbook layouts. During our live craft session on Marvellous Monday, I played with stencils and inks using different techniques. I love a stencil - they are so versatile and you have them forever making them great value for money. Did you know you can print with your stencils too? Those that have thin designs work best as they do not hold as much ink, but you can definitely experiment with them. The May Fox Box Plus is just perfect for any travel or out door layout. The perspextives are bright and vibrant and work especially well with mountains and greenery. I am still scrapping my Australian outdoor photos from the Blue Mountains so I had the ideal combination of Perspextives and Paper Snips. I have used Cocoa Vanilla Great Escape Collection. Generally I like to use multiple photos on a layout so I printed my photos 2x3" which meant I could get more on the page! Sketches are such a wonderful starting point when you're staring at a blank page and stuck for ideas. I used an awesome sketch shared in the Bramble Fox Friends Facebook Group for this layout. Have you checked out the new dies available in store? I love adding die cut pieces to my layouts so these were right up my street. I firstly added some inks, to my background, using the mini brayer & then stencilling over the top with stencil #5 matrix, & I stamped some splodges with Fox stamp #4 just to give some background interest. I then made up a large vertical column of torn & curled papers tucking in some of the Fox dies #20 & #21 border set. In addition to the Fox Box, new Border Set and Office Elements dies, I created this 12x12 adventure layout using Simple Stories Let's Go collection I created my background using the stencil from the Fox Box and I also fussy cut some of Paper Snips #56 for this page! The colours & images in the May Fox Box lends itself to multiple different layouts but I chose the Fresh Air, as my title, to make a travel layout. I started with a pre printed background paper as all the base work was done & added to it with a few rub ons. I then built up my large photo mat over on the right side adding labels, tags, geotag, tickets & a fabric tab. I made a secondary cluster, top left, to add my title onto & balance the page.
