Adult face art and glitter and gem designs have become so popular over the last couple of years, made mainstream by businesses such as The Gypsy Shrine and people just loving being glittered for festivals such as Glastonbury and Coachella. Festivals are the place to be creative in your outfits, let go and go wild, and glitter helps you do just that - something you can't do so often in your normal daily life. Lately we have had many more bookings for adult parties - whether its a fancy dress 50th birthday on an animal theme, a hen night where we do glitter art on all the girls or a wedding or b ..read more

Artycat Faces (ie me!) has face painted children and adults for many years in London and Surrey (over 12 years in fact!). Face painting is such an amazing job to have - I have always been so thankful I got into it through my gorgeous friend Fiona (who is sadly now living in Australia). After I finished my Art and Design degree in Manchester I started face painting as a part-time job and have never looked back! Face painting has evolved so much over the years - the products and techniques have improved immensely. Professional face painters now use a combination of bright neon and UV colours, on ..read more

As an artist at heart, I have another business called Sapphire Summers selling my hand-drawn illustrations as art prints, and textiles such as silk scarves and cushions. I love drawing animals, butterflies and small creatures and I make these into intricate collages and then make them into framed art prints and other items for the home. At the moment my cushions are very popular which are very colourful. To find out more please visit www.sapphiresummers.com - I have lots of designs on there ..read more

Face painting is a must at Halloween and I attended all kinds of events and parties over Halloween week. In recent years the sugar-skull has become ever popular and I painted quite a few of these. October is definitely my favourite time of year ..read more

The exhibition narratives were explored in performance through dance and storytelling. For the performance I face painted the dancers as snakes who are characters in the story, and they performed to a packed audience. Find out more about ..read more

I was very pleased to have face painted at a community funday in Fulham. We were lucky that we had the only sunny day of that week in early June, and it was very hot. I was happy to be featured in the Fulham Chronicle with Lea Barbierato who wanted to be painted as a butterfly. There were many stalls selling clothes, household items, cakes, drinks, burgers and all manor of other things. Face painting also raised extra money for the community centre, and the kids seemed pleased ..read more
