It all started approximately since I installed the most recent drivers for my PC (AMD Adrenalin Edition 24.3.1) about a month ago. There's a good chance I'm just being paranoid but I am hoping someone who knows more than me can help determine if thats true or if I have a real problem. I have recently noticed that Google Chrome will sometimes use a significant amount of CPU, and sometimes RAM, especially after long periods of use. This popped up while I was watching youtube, blurred out the file name as im unsure if it would leak anything but it is just a bunch of letters and numbers. I sent it in but in a panic accidentally disconnected my internet seconds later. I ran scans with malwarebytes and windows defender both came back clean. So I go Start > Shutdown every night and some times the PC stays on, the display and all peripherals disconnect but the PC lights (fan's rgb) and Fans stay On, initially thought it was just a longer than normal shutdown, walked away, came back after my pre-bed routine and PC was still whirring away with the RGBs on, had to hold the Power button till full power-off. Downloaded a mod from ModDB, opened the file, then after a few seconds closed it, then after around 15-30 seconds I checked it with Malwarebytes, it detected a trojan, I deleted the entire directory of the game, deleted the game on steam, quarantined the virus, and cleaned the trash bin. Hi everyone! I would need help determining if I have received malware. My Avast Anti virus has been sending up this box for the past few hours at 10 minute intervals. I've tried scanning with Avast but nothing comes up. The only way to get the box to stop is by ending processes explorer.exe in Task Manager which is connected to C:/windows/syswow64/explorer.exe. There is also another explorer.exe in Task Manager which is connected to C:\Windows.
