After 13 years of working at Starr’s Mill, Principal Allen Leonard has decided to change paths and move to a county position in transportation. Leonard has deep roots in Fayette County as he grew up here since age four. He attended Fayette County High School and later went on to teach economics. The tennis regular season has ended with the girls winning the region, behind senior Vaishnavi Jayakumar’s veteran leadership. The girls winning the region earned them a home bid to start the state playoffs.  “I am thrilled that the girls won the region tournament, because I feel like they worked really hard all season and we have some veteran players and I feel they deserved it,” head coach Amy Evert said. “I think they are going to be strong going into the playoffs, because we do have those veteran players.
