I currently own one rod/reel:
Rod: St Croix Premier 7’ Medium Fast
Reel: Shimano SLX DC XT
Being that it’s my only set up I use it for everything. Have caught bass using soft plastics, spinnerbaits, hard minnows and soft swim baits.
Thinking about getting another rod/reel to versify what I can fish with. What would be a good choice?
Thanks!

So tonight I was fishing with my favorite, the chatterbait, and noticed that the bass were way more interested if I threw it into the mucky moss and worked it as a jig. I kind of found this out by mistake and it’s not the best lure for passing through tons of moss like that. But I caught them.
What type of jig would I want to use for throwing into muck / moss near water plants in a pond? Also what trailer do y’all like for jigs. I have a swim jig and a football jig I believe in my box but haven’t used them much. Due to the way the bass were biting I need to figure them out I think.

My 7 year old with the videography lol! He was covering the microphone but it's all good! Real decent one for the creek, so much fun on the light tackle! Being 6'4" makes all the fish look small, but today was one of the best days I've ever had down attention creek thanks to that Yum 3" FF sonar minnow ?

My boys first cast at the creek, first ever fish on an artificial. Just the simple popping up off the bottom technique. Proud papa!

I'm struggling to really understand the difference between the ned rig and the texas rig. Today I tried the ned rig, and it worked but it seemed like I was just fishing a texas rig with a smaller plastic.

Hello, I am trying to learn the shakey head technique. Any tips would be appreciated. I know a lot of people use worms, but what about a craw? Just lookin for advice on shakey head.
For reference, I am using a 7'2 Favorite Lit spinning combo. 20lb high viz braid to 8lb fluoro leader.
