Took my little guy out to the neighborhood pond for some bass action. Now that's all he talks about!

I’ve recently become a big fishing fan especially bass! I’m off all day tomorrow and planned to go fishing maybe early morning… I know what I’m asking probably doesn’t have a right or wrong answer but considering the weather and time of year and my location In DFW area… would tomorrow be a good day to go fishing and what lure would you use and finally, would a top water frog be a good choice those seem to be my favorite!

I’m looking to get my first swimbait reel. I’m between a curado 300 and a tatula 300 but open to other recommendations.

When you catch a bass, what percentage of the time can you actually see it before it bites? If you had to guess

Been fishing this pond for a while and there were tons of bait fish so I tried a bell weighted hook with a bait lock probably 3/0 and a rage swimmer 3.25” and got about 10-15 strikes even some as soon as it hit the water and didn’t hook a single one. I caught about 5 decent fish prior on a wacky rig and have fished all kind of lures. Could I need a bigger hook? About half the time I’d see a fish swim right by and completely miss it even during a pause.

I never understood the hype around chatterbaits, I've never done particularly well with them and I've usually had to kind of burn em to get the blade going right. I also don't have a ton of disposable income so a $6 chatterbait vs a $16 jackhammer was a no brainier for me. Well after hearing the hype around jackhammers I went out earlier and grabbed a few lures. They didn't have any jackhammers in the color I wanted so I picked up a chatterbait Evo for like $11...wow. the difference is night and day. The blade starts up immediately, I feel like I can fish it slower, vibrates harder, I can act ..read more

Caught on a senko at a lake I’ve never been to before. Hit it like no other fish I was about to reel up and cast again and the fish jumped out of the water to grab it one of the craziest hook sets of my life.
