I realize we’re a few weeks into the summer but in case you’re still looking for some kids’ summer clothes for your little ones or nieces and nephews, I’m rounding up my purchases for Ainsley and Liam. I try to not overdo my purchases for the kids and mix and match throughout the summer and into fall. The only brand not linked in the below is Pearl Street Swim. We have a handful of suits for both kids, and they were kind enough to send each kid a pair of pajamas to test out. We love them as much as the suits! Hello and even though I’m past the window of it being okay to say Happy New Year…Happy New Year! I hope you and yours have been doing well! We are finding our groove back in Connecticut after visiting family for 10 days in Wisconsin for the holidays. Here’s a look at life lately! FROM INSTAGRAM I shared some snippets of my morning routine this past week along with the energy I’m bringing into 2023. This is very new from the end of last year into the beginning of the new year where I really started to prioritize myself again. It’s been such an energy boost to start the day on my own terms and ..read more

My Toddler Fall Fashion Top Picks
Fifth & Rose

Did I stay up way past my bedtime this week to get these orders in? Yes, yes, I did. But everything was on sale, and I wanted to cross this to-do officially off my list. Toddler fall fashion really makes me want everything I bought for Ainsley in my size, or I use it as an opportunity to buy her pieces I wish I could wear as well as her. I’m really living vicariously through her on these orders. I’m still searching for vests for both of them and Ainsely could use some ruffle midi socks to wear with her Mary Janes (that seems hopeful on my end) but in making this collage, I’m feeling good as ..read more

10 Go-To Dinner Recipes

In the spirit of my love/hate relationship with meal planning, I thought I’d share our 10 go-to dinner recipes in case you may be in a rut as well. Fall Vegetable Salad This is great with or without protein so you can make it a meal or serve it as a side salad. If you’re really short on time, I can confirm that frozen sweet potato tots work as a perfect replacement to diced sweet potatoes. You can also buy the salad topper combos as well. Creamy Sun-Dried Tomato Chicken Orzo Skillet I haven’t made this one in awhile but love a good skillet dinner. This is one of those comforting meals at home ..read more

Spinach Bacon Quiche

I’ve shared this recipe on my Instagram Stories more than a few times, and it’s all thanks to my friend Megan. They served this quiche at her baby shower a few years ago, and I think every guest asked for the recipe. It’s so good that even my aunt who is the queen of cooking and baking asked me for the recipe. Ingredients 1 pie crust (we use the red Pillsbury box in the refrigerated section at the grocery store) 6 eggs 1 1/2 cups heavy cream (Megan sometimes uses 1 cup of heavy cream and then milk for the rest) 2 cups chopped spinach 1 lb cooked bacon (chopped) I bake mine at 425° for 15-20 ..read more

Hi, Hello!

It’s been well over a year since I’ve taken the time to write a new blog post. I’m finally getting around to it from our new home in Connecticut. There’s so much to catch up on that it’s been a bit overwhelming to sit down and try to figure out where to start. I figured it’s better to at least get back in the groove of writing than to delay posting any longer. Since I last posted, my sister got married, I self-published a children’s book and last summer, I accepted a new role with the LEGO Group and by the fall, we had sold our first home in Wisconsin and started our next chapter in Connectic ..read more

Liam Matthew

On June 11 at 9:29 a.m., we welcomed Liam Matthew into our family! He came into this world after several weeks of me thinking ‘this could be it‘. Since Ainsley arrived 2.5 weeks early, I was on high alert. Everyone told me about how your second comes even faster, and I definitely wanted to be at the hospital when we delivered. Let’s back up a few weeks. At the end of May, we had a false alarm that resulted in my sister coming over and spending the night. She and Bill both made me rest while he got the car seat base installed, and she cleaned our house and did two loads of laundry (thank you ..read more

Home Tour

We’ve been in our house about two and a half years now, and it’s really starting to feel like home. While there are a handful of projects I’d still love to tackle (does the list ever really end?), I love celebrating progress so that’s what we’re going to do today. For anyone reading this who is just moving, I always like to share that we had no furniture in about 3/4 of our rooms for at least the first year. When we first moved in, I wanted to order anything and everything, and I’m so glad we waited to figure out how we wanted to use each room. If you’re curious about the layout, you can see ..read more
