Bills, which include one-time stipends for public school teachers and support staff but slash early childhood education spending, await Gov. Jeff Landry’s approval
BATON ROUGE–The Legislature gave its final approval Sunday (June 2) to $48 billion in budget bills, restoring funding for a $2,000 stipend for teachers but cutting spending on early childhood education programs.

Have you heard of The Hangout NOLA? If you haven’t you are missing out because The Hangout NOLA provides entertainment and fun for pre-teens and teens in a city struggling with issues surrounding youth and violence.
At least once a week, the owners of The Hangout NOLA, primarily an event rental space, open the facility to area youth, giving them a place where they can have fun and feel safe at the same time.

It’s true. Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry recently suggested – loud enough for others to hear– that U. S. District Judge Susie Morgan should be impeached.
When i heard, I had the very same reaction I have when I watch a boisterous, wayward toddler frantically run down a crooked, uneven street, then trip and fall.
