The older we get, the quicker these milestones seem to creep up on us. Today, we celebrate three years of marriage (10 and a half years together). This third year has been a freaking rollercoaster of events. If you had told us a year ago that we’d be living in Phoenix when we celebrated this anniversary this year, we would have laughed. And yet, here we are. Our third year has been one of growth, challenge, and connection. I could ramble on about how much we love each other and make this super mushy, but instead I want to tell you about the biggest lesson I’ve learned as a wife this year. In ..read more

Last year, right around this time, I felt like I’d hit a plateau and honestly, my feet couldn’t seem to find solid ground. I was doing ALL. THE. THINGS:  Influencer marketing, brand coaching, social media management, personal styling, launching a podcast. Rockstars, I was in over my head and starting to feel that dreaded burn out sensation because I didn’t even know what my main mission was in my business anymore. At that time, I also made the decision to hire a coach (definitely went into that thinking, “who the heck am I to hire a coach, but here we go!”). It was during our third session th ..read more

Confession time: money and I don’t have the greatest relationship ever. Can anyone else relate? When I was younger, money was plentiful and afforded us the opportunity to take trips as a family and buy things without worrying too much about a budget. Fast forward to high school and things started to pivot… quickly. Our family business was hurt by the recession and from there things deteriorated until we closed our doors in July 2010. It was at that point that I decided that money was a scarce resource that you have to work really hard to obtain. I created this idea that if I wasn’t working, at ..read more

What a freaking whirlwind the last month has been. When we announced that we were moving to Phoenix, we’d already sold our home in Indy and purchased one in Arizona. Now we are embarking on the first part of this new adventure and shoot, it’s scary. (Reader’s side note: I wrote this post over Memorial Day Weekend and honestly forgot to hit publish so if you’re reading this, we were about a month into our move.) I have an ongoing list of things they should teach you in high school or college and ‘how to move across the country’ has just been added. This is probably one of the most challenging t ..read more

“I am not a morning person.” Sounds familiar? I’m raising my hand with you because this is something I’ve said for the last, well since I started to get up for school and you know, put makeup on, do my hair, look like a presentable human being. But, what would you say if I told you that not being a morning person was a choice, not some genetic trait.  If you’ve been following along on my stories, you might have heard me talk about Miracle Morning Millionaires, this insane book I’ve been listening to on Audible that is literally rocking my world and my mornings. I wanted to take some time to sh ..read more

Oh the magic of New York City… I’ll never forget driving through the Lincoln Tunnel with my mom and her friend into New York City. It was the summer of 2014 and I was moving into the NYU dorms for the next couple of months to complete an internship with Faviana. I had about 36 hours to get somewhat familiar with the city before I started work and let me tell you, I though ..read more

Since our move, I’ve really struggled with being kind to myself. “Steph you need to be creating, you are not doing a good job serving your tribe, do better.” “Steph you need to do better at work. Create more, do reports, be innovative. C’mon, get it together.” “Steph you need to work out, you need routine and you are not sticking to your commitments. Get on it, girl.” “Steph you don’t have a routine. You are setting yourself up to fail, what are you doing Rockstar?” These are just a handful of the thoughts I’ve had over the last month.
