I'm trying to install RSAT tools on Windows 11 via PowerShell, but it fails because it cannot get the files from the internet while being managed by ConfigMgr, which sets its own policies for Windows Update. Does anyone know a way to temporarily allow it to download via Windows Update?

What can be done to have only co-managed devices show in the Intune portal instead of including SCCM-only devices (such as devices running Windows Server OS) also syncing to the Intune portal?
We only want client OS devices to be accessed through the Intune portal.

Hi All,
I have this perfect query so far but I just need to add the computer names that these users are logging into. I'm not sure how I can find this using the User Resource Group and I cannot seem to navigate out of that to the System Resource Group to pull the computer names. Anyone know how I can accomplish this? Thank you for your help!

Hi all, here is my predicament:
Ran RCT -> Repair Client on the whole collection.
RCT Repair Client -> returned 141 Unsuccessful devices
Pinged the 141 Unsuccessful assets from RCT tool -> 79 Unsuccessful pings
79 Unsuccessful pings error codes: "No such host is known" or "TimedOut"
ipconfig /flushdns was ran on the cmserver
Pinged the whole collection again and RCT returned -> 82 Unsuccessful pings
Copied both to excel to run a duplicates check and all but 5 are duplicates.
I have not done any AD clean up or anything like that. Trying to get my compliance scores up and clean ..read more

Guys, I just wanted to share something that I was struggling with for several days. The new April updates would not install on a Win 11 23H2 client. Well, the .Net update installed but the CU would not install. It would stay stuck at 0% and eventually fail.
The fix was a registry key added to the GPO. Here is the key: HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Update | String (Reg_SZ): UpdateServiceUrlAlternate | Value: http://localhost:8005
Once I did this the updates downloaded and installed.
Appears to be the way the UUP updates flow. I hope this helps someone.

Well guys, we have been running here with one primary site and six remote DP's. New CIO says that the remote DP's are going away and all deployments/updates will just traverse across the WAN. Anybody else do this or know of this situation? Am I about to have a super high stress level or what?

Hi Guys,
last week we've migrated our Primary Server from 2012 to 2022 Windows Server. SCCM is configured in HTTPS only mode and all roles works fine.
Yesterday, we've re-enabled the Third Party Adobe Reader Catalog but when we proceed with sync we find this entries in logs

I've been working to get our compliance for Windows Updates as high as possible, last month I hit 98.4%. I have 1 failure and 8 Unknowns. Of those 8, 5 are offline.
I'd like to track down why I keep getting 'Unknown' computers but I don't know what log to look at. from what I can see in SCCM they have the client installed and it is active.
I've looked at the AppDiscovery log and it has entries after the update was pushed, but I don't see an entry for the Update which I assumed I wouldn't. I just don't know where to look on the 'target' computer for some more info.

What are your experiences with other tools that automate patching? Has your organization replaced MECM with something else, or replaced something else with MECM? What was liked about MECM that it replaced another solution, or what was it about another solution that was liked that it replaced MECM?
Broad inquiry, MECM vs alternatives. - Cost - Patch effectiveness - Accuracy of reporting - Reporting speed of inquiries - Mean time to patch - Tool stability - Learning curve - Amount of time hands-on is needed in the dashboard for each cycle after a configuration standard in "x" environment has be ..read more
