Two men were arrested by Los Altos police on Saturday on suspicion of driving a vehicle with a stolen license plate and possessing illegal narcotics, drug paraphernalia and a large amount of stolen property, according to a statement by Los Altos police. The suspects were both from the East Bay. They were booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail. At around 8 p.m. Saturday, Los Altos police stopped a Chevrolet Tahoe around the area of Homestead and Foothill Expressway on suspicion of a vehicle code violation. A 19-year-old man was shot to death in Santa Ana, authorities said Tuesday. The shooting victim was later identified as Angel Junior Vuelvas, the Santa Ana Police Department reported. Officers responding about 6:40 p.m. Monday to a report of a shooting in the 1100 block of South Poplar Street located Vuelvas on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital, where he died from his gunshot wounds.
