Is it theoretically possible to build a compact nuclear power cell capable of powering a motorcycle?

I love electric vehicles, and much prefer them over gas for their responsiveness and instant torque, and total lack of stalling. The only true downside to electric is its range. Hydrogen fuel cells could solve this issue, but to get significant enough power theyd be prohibitively large and expensive. Taking the idea from the Fallout games of nuclear power cells like the Fusion cell, is it in any way possible in the future? Could we see lightweight compact nuclear powered electric motorcycles with unlimited range? Potentially utilizing thorium energy for safety or a very compact fusion power c ..read more

What if the logic at the core of the SMR paradigm is faulty?
One of the key promises of SMRs is to move a greater percentage of work from the unproductive construction site to a productive factory environment... but what if large modular reactors do a better job of that?
Module construction for the nuclear steam supply system and balance of plant containing key components, HVAC, electrical, plumbing etc... can be moved to the factory environment in small or large modular reactors like AP1000, ABWR or the most recent CANDUs.

So I've been following that sub for a few weeks and it's very strange.
It regularly gets trolled by anti-nuclear users, and many of the "pro-nuclear" posts aren't good quality either. (Worst example was a guy who used a chatGPT image as 'proof' that SMR nuclear had low land-use).
If you look at the mods history, all five of them are some degree of anti-nuclear. Worse yet, one of the mods regularly shit-posts on that sub.

We wrestle with the question of whether nuclear can find its groove and the positive learning rates that have eluded it so frequently. Vogtle unit 4 came in 40% cheaper than unit 3. Can those gains continue downwards? Is Vogtle 5 more likely to follow this cost reduction curve compared to a new AP1000 elsewhere?
