While your cert might not have addressed this, most of us who have been around a while know interpersonal (IP) skills are at least as important as your technical knowledge. Most would say much more important. Here are a few thoughts after 20 years. The primary idea with IP skill is make it about them, which takes discipline. Study active listening skills.
