Hi guys, so I have been working on a startup that works as uber for personal training. PT’s can log in and work anytime they want without any time commitments. The landing page is attached below for more information. This is not meant to be a promotion, I wanted to ask if you guys would consider using this? Why or why not? Are there any other pain points that you guys experience in your job that our app could help solve? Thank you very much!! In fact we're not currently in the fitness industry at all but we are trying to be...I need to give a little context about what we do so bear with me... I run a marketplace that allows what we call 'hosts' (apartment buildings, corporations, large office buildings, property management companies, large private landowners, HOAs, business parks, hotels, etc) to generate more revenue and improve their tenant/employee attraction and retention rates by allowing service providers (masseuses ..read more

Hi all! Option 1: non proctored exam Option 2: proctored and NCCA Accredited I looked into it and I’m not seeing a difference in being accredited with NCCA. In Canada, there is no regulatory body for personal training (that I’m aware of). Will this limit me if I were to move? submitted by /u/ambiguousoxymoron [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

While your cert might not have addressed this, most of us who have been around a while know interpersonal (IP) skills are at least as important as your technical knowledge. Most would say much more important. Here are a few thoughts after 20 years. The primary idea with IP skill is make it about them, which takes discipline. Study active listening skills. Get excited about what they are excited about. Although IP skill might come more naturally to some more than others, I am confident they can at least be improved if you know what to improve and get reps. This might be me overthinking it but soon I'll be a qualified PT and was wondering how many of you female PTs wear makeup? And if so what? Because I know we should look well groomed for clients but I never wear makeup submitted by /u/Rowing1810 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I've been doing Weighted Calisthenics for around 4 years now, and I'm very passionate about it. I also have lots of experience with seniors as I currently work with Healthcare clinics and most of my current clients are/have been 65+ years old Should you stick to only one niche to be successful or is having few others a good idea if you're interested in opening your own PT business? submitted by /u/Dazzling-Ad9979 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
