Hailing from South Australia, we’re proud to be the wine people within our group of friends in Sydney. Nothing excites us quite like a good drop paired with a delicious plate, and we’re always keen to hear what new things are going in in SA we can add to our racks. The latest excitement to fill our glasses is The Other Wine Co., a young, innovative winemaking team working out of the Shaw + Smith site in the Adelaide Hills. Led by intuitive wine man Matt Large, the brand is inquisitive and experimental, exploring new regions, different varietals and various winemaking styles. The website states ..read more

It’s been a while, but we’re back sharing some of our fave eateries from the vibrant Sydney restaurant scene. First up, an eclectic Vietnamese-Australian spot tucked away above a pub and a backpackers. Climb the stairs washed in street art and neon light and step into Hey Chu, a venue inspired by the fragrant food and late-night drinking culture of Vietnam. Modern Australian takes on Asian cuisines are nothing new, but you can be assured this is anything but the expected. Here you’ll find innovative creations like crispy pork cannoli and bahn knot waffles served under a ceiling peppered with h ..read more

Watching all those luxury creators on TikTok, we’ve been inspired to channel their energy and start investing in unique fragrances. Though our collections may be in their early days, one of our recent additions, Elysium Pour Femme by Roja, has us very excited. The sister to the original Elysium fragrance for men, it’s inspired by the sentiment ‘What might paradise feel like for a woman?’. Founder of Roja, perfumer Roja Dove, envisioned, ‘a world filled with an abundance of colourful fruits and flowers full of nectar.’ She also wanted the scent to have presence – an inner strength. This is what ..read more

The scandoval continues! With Vanderpump Rules having recently launched Season 11, Hayu hosted a fabulous premiere last week and you bet we were there sipping all the tea. Held at Sydney’s Event Cinemas on George Street, guests were buzzing to take a seat in gold class for a night of drama, drama and more drama. Over at the media wall, we had attendees being quizzed on their Vanderpump “group chat” names. Some of the more creative answers included “Get Giggy With It”, “Pump and Dump” and “Justice For Raquel” (same girl, same). To the other side, we had pumptinis flowing from the bar all night ..read more

Maintaining a substantial skincare routine while abroad can be often be a pain. When you’re travelling, the last thing you want to do is take up space in your suitcase with heavy skincare products. T-Chow is an absolute Adelaide institution, and one I’ve spent many fun nights at. The venue and it’s accompanying Chinese menu are a source of great comfort for me, reminding me of hospo Christmas parties, the beginning of late nights out on Hindley Street and a source of nourishment after said big nights. T-Chow has been serving the people of Adelaide for 25 years, and after bouncing from success to success, has just reopened after an exciting renovation. Still at the same beloved location nestled in the heart of Chinatown, the renovation includes updates to the main dining room and the addi ..read more

Spice up your life with the new Hot Toddy sauce range

I love myself a good hot sauce. In fact, I usually keep a bottle in my work desk at all times, just to save me from any bland lunchtime food that may come my way. MasterChef alumni Sarah Todd and her brother Matt Todd have just released their own line of hot sauces, aptly named Hot Toddy, and you can bet I was excited to get my hands on some of those. Influenced by their travels, the range of hot sauces uses flavours found in cuisines like Indian, Japanese, Thai and even Australian. The level of heat spans from a cool Kashmiri Tomato, made from a blend of tomato, garlic and Kashmiri chilli, al ..read more
