Move over ‘The Bachelor’....or really just any free time I previously had used to do productive things. This past weekend, I discovered ‘Love is Blind’ on Netflix and haven’t brushed my teeth looked back since.
The driving concept behind the show is that the best way to fall in love is “with our eyes closed,” AKA by not judging the f*ck out of someone based on their looks. So, the creators essentially rounded up a group of women and men who are all looking for “the one” (which is still the craziest part to me – I can’t e ..read more

Throughout my career as a recruiter, I’ve interviewed hundreds of candidates and reviewed thousands of resumes. I’ve seen it all. From the dreaded use of Comic Sans to a resume that was NINE pages long. NINE. I’ve also seen some really beautiful, concise, and creative resumes. Along the way, I’ve picked up on what makes for a bad resume, a good one, and a resume that really stands out from the rest.
Do Your Research
Before you sit down to create or update your resume, do your research. Comb through the internet to find job postings, both for the roles that you’ve had and the role that you want ..read more

A-list celebrities are not exactly known for being “chill”, but this save the date is one million times more chill than anything that touches my wedding will ever be. Not that I’m engaged or even close to getting married...but you know.
In case you live under a rock and didn’t know, SNL writer Colin Jost and A-list actress Scarlett Johansson are engaged! And we’re spilling the MAJOR TEA (I kind of hate when people say “tea” because it’s so predictable but it felt right) with their wedding save the date:
As I believe I’ve ..read more

The beauty space is...cramped, to say the least. New skincare and makeup brands are popping up left and right, and celebrities like Selena Gomez that could probably care less about makeup (yes, this is my opinion and I’m sticking to it! Who asked for a makeup brand from Selena Gomez?) are even coming out with beauty brands to grab a slice of the billion-dollar pie.
Because of the saturation in the space, it’s become even more difficult to innovate. That’s why the products I’m discussing below are so kickas*! So read on to hear about some of my favorite indie beauty products that are totally c ..read more

Tips For Staying Focused While Working From Home? We got you.
I’ve (Stephanie DeLacy, Contributing Editor) been working from home at least part-time, for close to a decade, and I can tell you that it can be the biggest blessing. I love saving time by not having a commute. It gives me so much flexibility to make doctor’s appointments or do errands. And of course, I love my dress code of yoga pants and a messy bun every day.
But it’s not always the easiest getting used to this adjustment. When you’re working from your own home, a lot of distractions can pop up, taking you away from your work. Ov ..read more

There are few things as comforting as a bowl of chili on a cold winter night. It’s the perfect dish to cozy up and watch your favorite show or sports event. But chili is meant to be shared, and I love the idea of turning it into a dinner party dish with a few extra glam touches (hello, microgreens!). Nothing wrong with putting a regular pot of chili on the table, but trust me, this version will be your new fave.
First, grab some nice rustic bread to use as the base for your toast. Drizzle some olive oil in it, then toast it. Then add a nice scoop of vegetarian chili, top it with micro greens ..read more

I turned 30 about a year ago and ever since that milestone birthday, I spend more time researching, purchasing, and using skincare products than I do on all of the dating apps combined.
Even though skincare is now officially a line item in my budget, I will confess, I do not always have the financial means nor the wellness expertise to navigate the expanding world of skincare. I’ve found Trader Joe’s to be very helpful here, offering something for every skin type and step in your regimen, always at an affordable option. To help you on your next trip to the funky grocers, I’ve rounded up the be ..read more

What no one tells you about ‘adulting’ is that the older you get, the more your friendships are tested. Once we graduate college and enter the real world, we’re simply not as intertwined with our friends. Our lives take us each on totally different paths, and it can be hard to maintain old friendships while also experiencing such vast personal changes.
But at what point is the friendship not worth it? When should we actually take action to reevaluate the friendship and decide if it’s something worth holding onto? The funny thing about friendship is that you aren’t really obligated to your fri ..read more

Well, well, well, if it isn’t Valentine’s Day once-a-freaking-gain. I personally am a huge fan of Valentine’s Day (boyfriend or not – usually not) and all of the chocolate that subsequently comes with it (that I buy for myself). KK stop feeling bad for me and just keep reading.
What’s also great about Valentine’s Day is that it brings us things like the Best & Worst Metros for Dating 2020 report by Apartment List. They asked 20,000 renters: “How would you rate your current city or neighborhood for opportunities to date?”, with the possible responses being: Very Satisfied, Somewhat Satisfi ..read more

Okay, so if you’ve watched an episode of Cheer on Netflix—you’ve either:
Looked up Cheer Routines on YouTube
Considered going back to High School just to join the Cheer Squad
Had your heart melt into an absolute puddle because those kids are the absolute best
Realized you absolutely need to hire Jerry Harris to follow you around giving you a hefty dose of “Mat Talk” every single minute of every single day because he is everything we’ve all ever needed in our lives
