Me and a gym friend who share a hobby for bushcraft and whatnot went on a little scouting trip for a location to build a liveable long stay shelter we plan to build over several weekends. So we just went and hiked around the woods, hiked down a few kms to a creek bed shown on maps and set up a fire and cook rack, had some quick boil chilli and practiced some skills and went over choices of gear. Casual fun hike compared to what I’ve been doing lately. Leave build ideas and recommendations and tips down below!!

Are Reiff knives any good? Looking to grab something in CPM-3V, is the F4 worth grabbing or are there any other CPM-3V blades out there under 6”?

The title pretty much says what I'm looking for but, I'm looking for a quality made in the USA backpack to start some adventures with.
Perfectly happy spending up to $250ish for one.

I've made precious few actual shelters, and this weekend I'm going to teach my young sons some shelter building by starting with miniature shelters. All the learning, far less work, but only the action figures get to sleep in them.
What are your top 3 shelters that will teach broad skills, applications, and material use? Or are just the most essential/basic to know?

So I'm just not getting into Bushcraft, and I just bought a smaller knife, and I'm wondering what these holes are used for. Ive looked around on Google, but no definitive answer. I know someone on here would probably know. I figured it might just be for Paracord?

He’s so amazing and it’s beyond me how he doesn’t have 1m followers still. I think he’s the 2nd best bushcraft channel after the outdoor boys
