Once you are all signed up at the hospital or clinic where you will give birth, you receive a “liste de maternité”, which is essentially a list of all the things you will need for you and the baby during your hospital stay. I used this list as a starting point of the first things I would buy. Beyond this list, you also begin to think about ..read more

I must admit 2020 has been a very weird and draining year thus far, which has taken a bit of the joy away from this new chapter. I’m currently writing this post at 22 weeks while reflecting on how my first months of pregnancy have gone. The past couple weeks have been overwhelming with the news of injustice going on in the US. Many people having been sharing helpful resources on social media, standing on the front lines protesting in the streets, offering supportive services, and empowering the many voices of change in the Black community. With this being my 7th year in Paris, I’m still amazed that I actually live here and that I’ve managed to set up a life here on a long-term term basis. I’ve recently started coaching people to help bring their dreams to reality to move abroad. Something I’ve realized is that the decision to move abroad ..read more

If you saw my Insta Story a couple of weeks ago, you probably noticed I made an announcement that I was moving from Paris. In the end, I was being a bit dramatic. I moved a little outside of Paris, which is only 15 minutes from where I live now by metro. But the big news is that “mon cheri” (Jérémy) and I bought an apartment!!!! Sep 19, 2019, will be a date that will be long-lasting in the memory books. This is the day we officially received the keys and deed to our new apartment. However, there is a lot of ..read more
