Little Emmie Delilah Jean Sinn arrived in the wee hours of the morning on December 16th. About 24 hours later I walked through the doors to document that sweet baby freshness and the first time she meets her siblings, which includes three beautiful sisters and one BIG brother! (Who holds a special place in my heart as I was there when he was welcomed into this world by his strong and amazing mama!) Beautiful Farryn turned one years old just a couple of weeks ago. And in celebration of her first year Eden asked me to come over and document the two of them together. Honestly it makes me teary eyed. I am so grateful and happy that mothers like Eden are seeing the importance and value of putting themselves in photographs with their children and documenting their genuine and incredible connection. We realized at the end of our session that it had been 5 years since I last saw the Pilyk family in front of my lens. 5 years isn’t so long really… but when you are raising teens and pre teens so much changes in such a short amount of time. And Braden and Carolyn are growing up Beautifully Elana and Jeff wanted to meet down at the river, close to where both of us live and spend so much time there with our families. We joked while I was with Andrea and her family that I have been their family photographer ever since Emery was just a little white grub…haha And all of our sessions have taken place on this little slice of heaven they call home. Its Pretty much a childhood dream home and the kids spent the day riding bikes, catching frogs, paddleboarding and adventuring around the lakefront property, complete with a pet Duck named Brightbill. Brittany and I were chatting yesterday and she said to me, “It just makes me smile ear to ear thinking about how much you have documented our story” I feel the same way and I was literally smiling ear to ear going through this whole film with those same thoughts. For our Day in the Life this time I came aboard their sailboat “Changes” and followed them on a Saturday Morning routine of a quick sail to NewCastle Island where they let Winter run and roam and then home again in time for nap time.
