There are lots of lovely quilts on display at the Cotton Club Exhibition of Amazing Quilts at Wickham Market. I went along this morning, and it was lovely to have a catch-up with friends, some of whom I hadn't seen for ages. There are several stalls selling all sorts of quilty goodies, as well as refreshments. The exhibition is open again tomorrow and Sunday, and it is well worth a visit - oh, and did I mention the delicious array of cakes? Umfortunately I didn't get any pictures of those ..read more

I'm currently away from my sewing studio, and won't return home for a few more weeks. As I won't be able to do as much machine sewing as I normally do, I need a few hand sewing projects. These pretty designs by The Birdhouse Patchwork Designs were just what I needed. These were ordered from Poppy Patch and quickly arrived in the post. Thankfully I've got my large box of threads with me while I'm away from home, so these shoukd keep me busy for the next few weeks ..read more

The pattern is My Heart Sings by The Birdhouse Patchwork Designs and includes the pre-printed calico. I'm using a selection of DMC Threads stranded embroidery threads along with a Hiroshima Tulip embroidery needle... ...and here's the completed stitchery design. It just needs to be pressed, then it will be ready to be framed.  ..read more

As usual I've had another VERY productive year, with lots of quiltystuff being produced in my sewing studio - quilts and wallhangings, tablerunners and journal covers, bags and Christmas stockings - the list goes on and on! Also, this year I've included a few non-sewing crafty projects that I've made too. Unfortunately, I just ran out of time and energy this year to complete all the qrojects that I started, so I've still got 4 small quilt tops to finish, and they're going to be my priority in the new year. Now I need to blitz my sewing studio and make an updated list of the projects that have ..read more
