King’s School Parramatta superstar Joseph Suaalii looks set to sign with Rugby Australia as the Union appear to have snapped the youngster up from under the noses of the NRL.   According to a report from the Australian newspaper The Telegraph, the sixteen-year-old will sign a three year contract with Rugby Australia worth AU$1 million a year. Undoubtedly many of our readers will have already read the terrible news about Leicester Tigers flanker Taylor Gough.   The 20-year-old openside suffered multiple injuries including severe spinal injuries after being injured in a road traffic accident in mid-June, leaving him unable to walk and highly unlikely to do so again according to an interview with his mother, Kerry, in an interview with BBC Radio Leicester.   Gough, a key player in Leicester Tigers’ U18 Academy League title in 2018, the first of three in a row, only signed his first senior contract in February when he stepped ..read more

Young stars Ted Hill and Will Butler have been appointed Club Captain and Assistant Club Captain respectively at Worcester Warriors.   Hill becomes Worcester’s youngest ever Premiership Club Captain at just 21 years of age, while fellow Academy product Butler is 22.   The two players starred at school and junior international level, and Hill has even been capped at senior level by Eddie Jones against Japan in 2018.
