When you think of going for a portrait session, I’ll bet that you immediately think of the flashing lights, and the camera and the model-like posing. While that is part of it, a portrait session with me is more than just the actual photo shoot itself. Today I'm going to share the four parts to a successful photo session. The first part of your portrait session is the Styling & Planning Appointment. I’d have to say that this is probably the most important part of your photo session because this is where we talk through exactly how you want to be photographed and how we are going to create i ..read more

Do you have a beautiful portrait of yourself?  If you are like most women the answer is probably no. In the end, many women don’t exist in photos. I want you to exist in photos.  For yourself, and for the people that lov ..read more

2020 was not a great year for Calgary high school grads. Graduation ceremonies and most of the special events had to be cancelled this year. I’m sure many of the grads and their families had smaller, private celebrations. I also know that a lot of grads really made an effort to have professional portraits done this year. If you were out in the city parks during the month of June, you probably saw groups of grads with a photographer. I saw this several times myself, and i ..read more
