Is It Possible to Electrify the Broads? This is a question that is crucial to one of our current innovation platforms, The Electrification of the Broads. On 24th April 2020 the working group for this innovation platform held its first meeting. The point of the project is to look at the current state of electrification of The Broads and work with The Broads Authority to help improve this. The Broads Authority currently has a decarbonisation plan in place to reduce the emissions of the region to carbon neutral status by 2030, and net carbon zero by 2040. Graphene as the Next Super Material I first learnt about graphene at a meeting with several of our Cleantech East businesses. It was mentioned in passing as a potential solution that one business was exploring to reduce weight in an aircraft it was designing. This interested everyone in the room immediately and we got quickly distracted into what graphene is and what it can do! New Battery Storage Project in Norfolk after Shell and Anesco Collaboration

The oil and gas leader, Shell have partnered with Anesco, a UK renewables firm, to engage in a new battery storage project at the Becton gas terminal in Norfolk launching Summer 2019.
